My jvc radio needs to be fixed and i need an person mecp certified who has taken apart radios or s??
Question: i basically need extremely detailed instructions on putting my radio back together. pictures would be very helpful. i took it apart originally because i have been having a problem where i would be playing a cd or my ipod and the radio would just stop playing and freexe but only when i'm in cd mode. when i switch to radio then it's fine and every now and then the radio will play the cd for 1 minute or 1 hour or 1 day it never is consistent and i can't diagnose the problem so i figured i'd open it up and take a look and now i took one part of and can't put it back together cause i didn't pay enough attantion to this one part i took off and i just need to put it back together at least for now. so please if u can help then help
Answers: They are right, Radio's are fairly cheap and fixing an old radio is usually not worth it.
By the way being MECP certified just means that the person took a stupid test and it does not mean they have any actual experience.
I would suggest just buying another one. Why?....because I'm sure your time is more important than packaging, sending paying someone to fix it, shipping it back etc. High quality radio's are cheap these days. For less than it would cost you not to mention your time you could probably replace your JVC unit dont you think. For $100 you can get a fantastic receiver/head unit...why deal with all the bs?
I agree with Jon D. It takes a lot of time to trouble shoot any electronic device. Its sounds like a problem that would only be fixed by somone with a ociliscope and good understanding of electronic repair, which means money. It would be cheaper and less time consuming to get a new radio.
