Powered Subs // Sub Tubes??
Question: Powered Subs or Sub Tubes, good, bad, or plain horrendous? Looking for opinions from those who have mounted the subs in cars, pref. 4-door, instead of pickups and SUVs.
Answers: i disagree with the last, i have heard a 10 bazooka tube in the trunk of a Chevy caprice and to me it was loosy goosy and just plain uncontrolled bass. it was louder than i expected, but sounded way worse than i expected... i have also heard the infinity baselinks and i was very impressed with both volume and sound from such a small enclosure. i have only heard it in the store, but when compared side by side to the bazooka it was way better hands down. the infinity was a 250 watt and the bazooka a 100 watt, so naturally that made a diff. but even the sound was way better from the infinity. certainly would be a good choice in my opinion.

Sub Tubes are just plain ausome. they Are Nice and Clear and Look Good.

Powered subs are ok. just ok. dont expect too much outta them.
Bass Tube or sub tubes as you have called them are awful. just awful. they sound awful and i myself would never buy one.
so now your asking yourself, well wtf do i get? get a shallow mount sub. i highly recomend Pioneer Premier. they sound great, and the bass you get outta them is unreal. its one of those you have to see it to believe it deals. i also recomned going to a local store and seeing them for yorself, cause i doubt you'll believe me on how good they really are.

good luck
powered subs can sound pretty good. i have heard some good and some bad but it really depends on the brand. bass tubes are almost always not going to sound that great. they are just designed to take up less room than a normal enclosure but i haven't heard a good sounding one yet. i would recommend just making your own system. sometimes when you buy a combined system it has cheap subs and amps.
