Where to get an air intake for a 2005 chevy malibu??
Question: I want to install an air intake on my 05 malibu. My car is a 4cyl and can't find anywhere that has one. i have even heard that Imight have to buy the intake for the 6cyl and then modify it. Anyone who knows anything about this please share. thankx.
Answers: your car is set up to run the way it is, you can add a high flow filter to the air box, or you can mondify a filter system to fit somewhat but you'll most likely end up with no added power and a check engine light.

i wouldnt install one cuz you dont make hp till high rpms n some say that it doesnt really even help your mpg
This is because there is nothing available for your car at the present time. I'm a bit skeptical that a cold air intake is really going to save you that much in gas to begin with. A K&N filter might help a little bit as they're better than the stock paper filters are. Hope this helps. The 2.2 is a good and economical engine with decent performance as is; but every little bit helps.
Try Murray's or Autozone, a good aftermarket is by K&G.
