Chevy truck question??

Question: I am trying to find factory bucket seat upholstery for a 1993 Chevy fullsize truck, but I am striking out big time. Anyone know who might have some? Also I'm trying to locate a wiring diagram for the ashtray light on the same truck. Haynes, Chilton's and the dealership don't have them. Any idea who would?
Answers: Your ashtray light is tied into your dash lights and headlights. So using a test light, probe the wires leading out of the headlite switch and simply peel back a section of the wire insulation and wrap it around the bare wire and use electrical tape to to secure it. As for the seatcovers, check with your local upholstery shop as they have resources for matching the fabric
I have a lot of luck looking on the Internet, try your local car salvage for parts too.

too new a truck to have any aftermarket parts for it yet, you might have to look in the junkyards for new seats or take them to a reupolstery shop and have them redone with another fabric that you like, and the wiring of your ashtray light I have no idea where you would find info on that if you can't even get it from the dealer.

Call John at Rags to Riches in Cuba, Mo. one of the best. Also for the electrical scamatics go to your local library and check out a Chiltons book for that make +model
