How do i get a classic top-back impala elongated??
Question: I am going to get a junk 1964 Chevrolet Impala to get it restored and completely customized. The trickiest part that i don't understand how i'm supposed to go about doing is making the car about 6-8 inches longer. What makes it more complicated is that it will be a top-back so it not as simple as splitting the car in half and welding extra metal on it but they would have to even make the soft top longer so it can fit. The purpose of all this is to make more room for the back seat passengers. Taking the car to a restoration shop is one thing, but who/where do i go to get the car longer???
Answers: Believe it or not your best bet for the stretch may be a company that does limo conversions. The trick would be to find a converter that would do a custom similar to yours.
