What is my '77 Chevy Nova worth? Orange, 4 door, running great.??
Question: Hi, all!
I can't find a blue book price for my 77 Chevy Nova because it's a classic. Does anyone know what it would be worth? My hubby and I are moving, soon, and won't be taking the Nova with us (tears!).
It's in great condition - runs really well. Belonged to my father in law before I inherited it, and he was a stellar mechanic who babied the Nova and taught me how.
Belonged to an old lady before he got it - she drove it back in the day, but as she got older she only used it to run to the grocery store every once in a while.
It's orange (original paint) and a 4-door.
Answers: the front clip ( fenders hood grill etc..) is worth about $400
to someone with a wrecked 2 door
4 doors have no value..
what motor is in it ?
a 350 could be worth a few hundred
if it has a 6 that is worth 0
if it were a 2 door it could be worth a couple thousand
and much more if it were a few years older..
sadly a 76 is worth a lot more than a 77
because of smog laws

Sadly this is too late for your nova. The early years were the good ones. The fast and sporty SS models are the one's people clamor for, so I'd say you might get 3000 in good condition. Sorry to break it to you. Late 70s cars with the exception of Corvettes, Camaros, and Firebirds, were pretty unpopular. Good luck
depending on the condition of the car body you could get anywhere between $5,000-$20,000.
it around 2000 to 3000 you have to remember its a 4 door and poeple intend to like 2 doors 4 makin hotrods,my friend sold his for $2200 4 door with new everything.
A lot depends on engine and overall condition. You say it is a runner so I would guesstimate between $1500 and $3000. There is not a demand for 4 door oldies, and it is a little too new to be a desired classic. Try checking in Hemming's Motor News or look on E-bay for similar cars. Good luck.
$1500-2500 if it's a 6 cylinder, $2200-3000 if it's a 305 V8, $3000-$4000 if it's a 350 V8, they were very durable cars back in the day and you still see plenty of the late 70s Nova's around.
No one would give you 5000-20000 for it. Maybe in a decade. 500-2000 would be more realistic for a 77 four door. Maybe 2500 or 3000 if its in stellar condition.
The only way you will get much out of this car is if it a V-8 with a manual transmission. Late 70's cars are still not in high demand. I'm sure someone would love it for a cruiser and put some twenties on it, but even then I'm sure the wheels would be worth more than the car. $2000 to $3000 max, but expect $1500 or so.
