Do you agree ?????

Question: I live in the state of Maryland. I am an 18 years old teenager. I have the privilege of driving in the state of maryland, i've seen how agressive and hostile the drivers are. I RARELY see any people who follow the speed limit, especially in the interstate highways. Like for example, Indian Head Highway is where i drive to go to work on weekends. I drive morning and night. What i've noticed is that the speed limit on the highway is 55 MPH . It's so absurd that i see people would actually speed up to about 70-75 MPH . During rush-hour, people actually overtake others by going outside the Lane Margin. That stuff could seriously cause potential accident. I'm still young and 18 and am on my provisional's driver's license. So far, i have NEVER gotten into an accident yet, and i'm a very careful and non-agressive driver unlike those other monsters in the road. For those of you who are residents or have driven in the state of Maryland, would you agree with me ?
Answers: It's not just Maryland. I'm about to get my license in PA. and i noticed on the highway people are the same way. I can be going 15 over the speed limit, and people still ride my bumper, and pass me.
It's true everywhere. People are inherently selfish and don't believe the rules apply to them.
does anyone ever enjoy [beer] responsibly like the commecial recommends? Does anyone ever follow the speed limit on the highway? Don't you like how I completely ignored your question, like the poster above me?
I wish people drove like that in California, becuase they drive like ****. I would rather have them drive fast then really slow in the fast lane.
In my town they drive just as fast. They go fast on the expressway but I wouldn't say copy off of them. Keep going at your snails pace. Well I would say no more that 10 over the limit.
Its the same almost anywhere, I commend you for being a safe driver, at your age most people are reckless drivers.

As for speeders, give them the benefit of the doubt, i've been in an absolute hurry before (once where I was late to a final exam, which was necessary to pass my course). Imagine that their wife is giving birth, or that their dad is dying.
What idiot told you exceeding speed limit equals aggressive driving? It is not.

Imagine you are running along a trail. Would you call a person who is running faster and passing you aggressive? Same thing here.

Now, current American highway speed limits (including Maryland) do not have any relation to safety. They are set based on a number of political and revenue reasons. That's why so many people break them. And if a majority breaks the law - the law is bad, not people.
