People randomly stopping and flipping me off on the interstate! Why!??

Question: In the morning there is usually pretty bad traffic so it's really slow. One morning I was just creepin along with the other traffic like normal when I see the girl in front of me staring at me in her rear view with a pissed off look. She then turned around and flipped me off. I have no Idea why. After that she continued to stare at me with a mean mug and was yelling somthing. I just thought it was a weird random thing till it happened again one day! A totally different girl actually stopped her car turned completley around and gave me the finger! What the hell?? I wasn't doing anything. It was bumper to bumper traffic but I wasn't riding *** or anything and I have no idea who these people were. What are some posibilities b/c I have no clue..
Answers: Sure sounds like people think you were too close. A lot of people think in bumper to bumper traffic that they really should be bumper to bumper, but, if you can't see the rear tires of the vehicle in front touching the roadwhen you are stopped, and you don't leave a safety zone of 3 seconds at even low speeds, you are too close, and I would be mad as well.
a lot of people are getting road rage these days. i think its becuz of the gas prices.
Is called road rage. I had a chick do that to me a few weeks ago - apparently she thought I was tailing her too close. I had atleast a car length in between us so who know what her problem was. People are just mean now-a-days!
maybe you are tailgating ... most people who tailgate don't realize that they do this. and it's very annoying, especially to people who have been rear ended in the past. Or, if you look distracted while you drive (reaching down for something, playing with the radio, talking on your cell, etc.) people may think that you're not paying attention and that you might hit them from behind.
I guess, don't look at people?
I rarely make eye contact when I find myself in bad traffic.
Some people are just cranky.
Run down this list and see if there might be a reason.
