What's with people at four way stops??

Question: Do people know how four way stops work? I mean - come on - this isn't hard. First car there proceeds through, regardless of whether they are going straight or making a turn. If there's a tie , then right-of-way rules kick in. If you don't understand right from left, then you ought not to be driving.

But most annoying are the people who arrive at a four way stop FIRST...then they sit there, waiting for you to arrive...then they wave at you (as if you're a long lost friend) telling you to go through. Four way stops are not a gathering place to be friendly. These numbskulls would be killed at roundabouts in Europe, seriously.

Answers: You need to relax. Let the traffic flow around you. Flow through it. Like water. Water starts its journey as a small droplet, and flows down the river. When it comes to the turbulent rapids, the water flows over, around, and under the rocks that conspire to block its path and aggravate its very soul. When the water eventually flows into the lake, it is calm. Be the water. The numskulls you speak of will flow in to and out of your field of view. They will be gone in an instant. Let them go. Be thankful to God that you got to your destination without injury or property damage. Strive for serenity in your car.
It's because 98% of motorists do not know or just don't make a complete stop.
4 people on all four roads at a 4-way stop! WHAT DO YOU DO?!
Yeah, or they stop first, and then as you come up to the stop, you wait for them to go, and they're waiting for you to go for some unknown reason, and you don't know what they're doing, so you wait for them to go because it's not your turn, then two more people pull up and it's super confusing, and everyone inches through the intersection little by little, stopping, then going a bit, then seeing that someone else went, so they stop, and the other person does the same, until someone finally just goes for it, and then the next three or four cars are all doing the same thing, cutting each other off, until all those people have left and it starts all over again with a new set of people.

I know, it was one long sentence...
