Have you ever been tailed/stalked by another motorist??
Question: i was driving home from work and about halfway there i was behind an orange ford who decided to drive slower and slower and eventually stopped right in the middle of the road, so i thought i'd take an alternate route and next thing i know he's following me.
i'm kinda starting to freak out at this stage because he's following me like a shadow through the back streets so i head towards my parents house. i park outside and think about running into the house and he pulls up beside me to try and get a good look at my face. he wouldn't have seen much because it was dark. he then decided to leave me alone, i waited a few minutes then drove home.
what a loony tune, what the hell was he trying to do? is this how normal people behave?
Answers: If that ever happens again, drive right into the parking lot of your local police department. Have the guys license plate number and report it. He may have thought you were someone else.
An irate driver decided to pursue me; it sure cooled him off when I pulled into the State Patrol station!

No, But I have seen this happen before. He may have thought you were someone else. You have probably seen other cars that were the same model and color as yours in your area. The best thing to do is get away from them. If they continue to follow, call the police on your cellphone. Either way, head to well lighted area. A wal-mart parking lot, pull right up in front of the doors to get in. You can stop at anywhere that has people coming and going and always pull right up to the door even if it is handicapped or a fire zone. It doesn't matter. Stay in your car until it looks safe. Get the plate of the other car if you can, but do not go out of your way to do it. Usually, they will leave when you get aroud the well lit area, or they will see that you are not who they thought you were. But if they are stalking, you have already called 911, and are in a well lit area with people. And the fact that you are right by the doors will call attention to you. He will leave. Never go down side streets to get away if you don't have to. Tell everyone you know to do the same if they are followed and don't panic. It is most likely not the threat your mind makes it be. Just be smart!

Yes - after upsetting someone on I-95, I drove towards the PG County police station and he drove elsewhere. I spent an hour at the library to make sure that he wouldn't come back for me, which he didn't, and I left.
I pretty much know where every state and local police station is in central MD - if someone wants to road rage me, they're more than welcome to follow me to the police station for a honest discussion on the issues.
