16 year old with no driving licence drove and crashed into a garage has no insurace, who will pay for damages??
Question: The 16 year old drove across a kerb then the lawn and into the garage damaging the garage and ars parked insde. she has no insurance. House and cars are insured. who pays for damages
Answers: The parents of the 16-yr. old will probably get stuck with the bill since they are responsible for the kid. The owner of the wrecked house's homeowner's policy may cover some of the damages.
Mommy and daddy better be or there insurance if not sue them fore damages .
her parents will be liable for what she done, the fact that she was a minor makes them liable, your insurance will cover this and then they will collect from her family one way or the other, that's usually what they do they will go ahead and repair the damage and then bill them for it,you shouldn't be out no money at all on this one,i hope it all works out for you, good luck.
Insurance goes with vehicles, not with drivers.
The Parents! At 16 still a minor and parents are still legally responsible. If the 16 yr. old was driving without permission, a good Judge would make the kid get a part time job to pay for the damages.
Insurance covers only licensed drivers because this 16 yr old had no license, than the insurance company of the car will not pay anything. Possibly home owner of damaged will get their insurance to pick up the damages but the 16 because they are minors their parents than are legally responsible. With all that said, this teenager should either be getting a job to pay damages and community service if they go to court.
16 year old's parents are ultimately responsible.
