Can anyone who lives in florda tell who tranfered there liscence with points on them tell me??
Question: when u transfer ur liscense with points on them from ny or any where outside of florida, does florida hold those points against you also? and when going for a job that requirea a liscense check does the job hold points against you from other states or do they just consider what you got in florida?
Answers: Yes, Florida will assign points to moving violations like a speeding ticket on a NY D/L that has 2 points, Florida will assign 1 point for that violation. A 3 point violation will assign 1.5 points. As for employer MVR checks, I am sure they will look at all your violations for 3 to 5 years back, no matter what state they occurred in. Good Luck!!!
